Ian Peacock

Ian spent over eighteen years in international banking primarily with US banks in London and the USA. His work experience includes dealing in the foreign exchange and Eurocurrency markets, during which time he also provided business input to the specification and acceptance testing for a major integrated banking package. He held a number of management positions including running the trade finance, correspondent banking and corporate business development group.

In 1985 he accepted an offer to join Logica, the leading UK systems house, where he was Principal Consultant within their Investment Banking Group he specialised in the reengineering of front and back-office business processes and systems for major banks and investment houses. In addition he undertook strategic assignments for a number of stock and commodity exchanges as they prepared for the introduction of electronic trading.

Prior to going independent in 1999, he was head of Logica’s European Currency Practice which provided business impact consultancy and programme management services to clients preparing for European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU).

During his IS career he has worked for a diverse range of clients in the UK and abroad including the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Lloyds TSB Group, ING Barings, the International Petroleum Exchange, Deutsche Borse, Bank of Ireland, ANZ, DG Bank, Bankgesellschaft Berlin, Visa, Barclays, Shell, Credit Suisse, OM Group and ING Bank.

Siān Jones

After graduating Siān  gained a broad level of experience in the application of computers in the insurance, banking and manufacturing business sectors, working for both end users and suppliers.    Subsequently she joined a major US bank where her responsibilities included project planning, monitoring and control, global operational support, staff appraisal, training and recruitment, training branch staff throughout Europe, Asia and America.

She joined Touche Ross as a consultant in 1988. Her wide variety of projects covered IT strategy, project management and project monitoring for Financial Institutions, commercial organisations and Government. She was promoted rapidly to Principal Manager, when she supported the partner in charge of the Management Advisory Services Division in increasing staff numbers from three to nearly fifty. This division focused on providing computing and project advisory services to middle market clients.

She became an independent consultant in 1996 and has undertaken a wide range of projects in the years to date. This has included work for BACS Ltd. and a programme of projects for ING Barings bank, not least of which was an eighteen-month assignment as their Global Programme Manager to prepare the bank for the introduction of the Euro.

Other projects include senior project and project office management roles for clients such as Perpetual, CSFB, Norton Rose, BSkyB and Visa International.
